Financial Aid & Scholarships

Attention HJUHSD Seniors:

We are just a couple weeks away from our annual "Scholarship Awards Night"!   Winners will soon be receiving invitations to Scholarship Night as we receive word from donors that you have been awarded a scholarship.  Scholarships Awards night is Tuesday, May, 20, 2025 and will be held in the Sierra Pacific Event Center.  Doors open to Students and their families at 6:00pm and the Ceremony begins at 6:30pm.

For those of you who have had donors contact you directly about your award(s), please either fill out the "Student Scholarship Self Report" or email us the award notice that you received.  You will then be added to the list of awardees for the evening.

We want to be able to congratulate and honor all of our seniors who have worked hard the past 4 years and were chosen to receive scholarships.

HJUHSD College and Career Center staff are available to help students with state and federal financial aid options and applications as well as local, state and national Scholarships. Explore the resources below and talk to your school College and Career Center or School Counselor for more information.

Workshops are held throughout the year to assist students and parents with filling out their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or CADAA (California Dream Act Application).  Applications to the FAFSA and CADAA can be launched using the CaliforniaColleges.edu Platform.  All HJUHSD students have a CaliforniaColleges.edu account and are given instructions on how to use it each year.

We use "Going Merry" to host our Local Scholarship Program.  Students can apply to over 90 scholarships that are sponsored by many of our local organizations along with getting access to thousands of state and national scholarships such as the Gates Millennium and Coca Cola Scholarships. There are many local and state organizations that do not use Going Merry as their application host.  Please find the listings of those scholarships below the Going Merry information.  Some application listings are links to their "Online Applications" and others are to the PDF version of their application that are kept either on their own site or on the HJUHSD Google Drive.
