• pursuing a MD, DO (osteopathic), DNP (nursing practice), or MPA (physician assistant) degree;

AGRICULTURAL SCHOLARSHIPS

California table grape growers seek agricultural scholarship applicants interested in building a career in the California table grape industry and in investing their undergraduate years of study in academic areas of importance to its future. The Agricultural scholarship is a four-year $25,000 university scholarship, available to students residing in the Coachella or San Joaquin valleys who are interested in the California table grape industry. Scholarships are available to seniors graduating in 2025 or to high school graduates, including family members of table grape growers. Three scholarships are available. Successful applicants will major in a field of study applicable to table grapes. Examples include soil science, plant pathology, entomology, sustainable agriculture and food systems, genetics and plant biology, agricultural education, agricultural communication, agricultural business, agricultural marketing, horticulture and crop science, botany and plant pathology, agricultural policy, international marketing, food science, and technology. Other fields may be deemed applicable. Applicants must enroll full time in a California university with a fall 2025 enrollment date and a declared major tied to a future in the California table grape industry. Preference will be given to those with interest in building a career in the California table grape industry.

Applicants must be a high school senior graduating in 2025. Students currently enrolled in college are not eligible. Only children with a parent or legal guardian employed by a California vineyard during the 2024-2025 winegrape growing season are eligible to apply. Children whose parent or guardian is a California winegrape grower may request a waiver from this eligibility requirement based upon financial need. To qualify for waiver consideration, a letter demonstrating financial need must be submitted with the completed application packet. Children of current directors or employees of the CAWG Foundation are not eligible to apply.
The Selection Process
The CAWG Foundation board will award the scholarships. Selection is based upon the following five criteria:

The Race to End the Stigma Scholarship was created by the Carlos Vieira Foundation to start the conversation about mental health. The $1,000 Race to End the Stigma Scholarship is granted annually to graduating high school seniors who are interested in mental health awareness or who are willing to share their story about mental health in an effort to end the stigma.

Description of Scholarship

The Hagan Scholarship provides $2,000 to help purchase essential items for college, up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters, workshops to learn important life skills not typically covered in the college curriculum, HSF Schwab Brokerage Account to manage to learn how to invest, and up to $8,000 to study and travel abroad.

Hagan Scholars who graduate while in the Hagan Scholarship Program can apply for a Hagan Graduate Scholarship, good for up to four additional consecutive semesters to attend graduate school or first two years of a professional program, receiving up to $7,500 each semester.

Eligibility Requirements
1. Must attend a high school located in the United States.
2. All high school students eligible regardless of nationality.
3. Must be fluent in the English language.
4. Must be in the high school graduating class.
5. Must have achieved an unweighted 3.50 CGPA based on a 4.0 Grading Scale.
6. Must enroll in an eligible four-year College or University the first fall semester following high school graduation.
7. The scholarship cannot be used to attend a community college, junior college, or online institution.
8. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule, or complete the equivalent of a four year degree if in a professional program.
9. Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2025 until September 1, 2025.  Work must be regularly scheduled employment performed under supervision for compensation. Employment can be full-time or part-time.
10. Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2023 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. “Household Income” is defined as the total income received by all adult members of a household living under the same roof.

FHCN’s Board of Directors established the Anita de la Vega Scholarship Fund after her passing in 2009 to honor her life-long dedication to serving the underserved and service at FHCN. Anita felt it was a privilege to practice medicine in underserved communities but that it was a responsibility to advocate for those communities. FAST Credit Union Scholarship

FAST proudly supports the next generation of leaders by offering amazing scholarships! Our scholarship committee will choose three high school senior FAST Credit Union members to receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Applications are open mid-January through April 1.

Applications will require:

1. Membership: Must be a member of FAST Credit Union prior to February 28 of the year applying.
2. Showcase Activities & Involvement: Share your extra-curricular activities and community involvement. 
3. We want to get to know you: Provide a Personal Introduction and include:
   • Family and background.
   • Skills and gifts.
   • Career goals.
4. Personal References: Provide two personal letters of reference.
5. Resume: Highlight your work and volunteer history in a resume.
6. Academic Records: Submit a copy of your transcripts.

How to Apply

Start preparing your application by collecting the required documents and creating your introduction. Be sure to submit all your documents and completed application by 11:59 p.m. April 1 to be considered.  

What happens next

Each recipient will receive $1,000 deposited directly into their FAST Credit Union account upon uploading proof of enrollment to college or trade school. One year later (or halfway through the trade school program), we'll ask each recipient to complete a short follow-up form. Subsequently, they will receive the second $1,000 directly deposited into their FAST Credit Union account. The issuance of the second half of the scholarship is contingent upon nothing more than their continued enrollment and follow-up with FAST Credit Union.

Eligibility

We have several scholarship opportunities available for students who fit these criteria:
High School Seniors or First-Year College Students
Plan to attend a U.S. Accredited 4-Year College/University or Community College in Fall 2025
Have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 
Household income at or below County Low Income Level, or demonstrated financial need

4-Year University Program

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

• Be a high school senior with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
• Live in the SoCalGas service territory
• Plan to attend a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. for the upcoming academic year.
• Plan to enroll in an eligible major in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Accounting. Medical-related fields are not eligible.
• Demonstrate financial need.

SoCalGas or any other Sempra Energy company employees, elected officials and employee’s children/grandchildren, and children of retired employees are not eligible to apply.

The Jack A. Harris Memorial Scholarship Foundation was established in 1981 by John C. Harris, friends and associates to honor his father, the original founder of Harris Farms and affiliated Harris Entities. The goal of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to those in pursuit of higher education. This scholarship opportunity is open to ANY eligible high school or college students who will be enrolled for the upcoming fall semester. Preference is given to: Applicants who are currently or have worked for a Harris entity; Applicants whose immediate family members are currently or have worked for a Harris entity; Any high school or college students from the central San Joaquin Valley; Those expressing a commitment to a future in agriculture.

“The Valley Oak Quilt Guild, Founded in 1987, continues to be interested in encouraging further interest in the fiber arts and in quilting among young people. We are happy to offer several scholarships to students from a Tulare or Kings County high school who is involved in the fiber arts or quilting and is interested in continuing their education. 

We realize that student interest in the fiber arts may be an avocation rather than a vocation and a college major in the field is not necessary to apply for our scholarship. We do hope to encourage any student interested in this area to apply. The scholarship winner will be selected by the Guild committee and the winner will be invited to attend a June guild meeting. We will also notify the school’s scholarship office of the award for presentation during awards night if the school so desires.”

Sponsors are looking for seniors who have demonstrated leadership qualities such as vision, initiative, dependability and follow-through, effective organizational skills, and kindness and concern for others. KCSBA is emphasizing "making a difference", and would like applicants to address in their essay how they have made a difference in their school and community. They want to recognize and assist in the education of promising future leaders, young people who may one day choose to serve on school boards or city councils, hold other public offices, or initiate community improvement projects.

High school seniors chosen as recipients of the Splawn Scholarship have a
chance to re-apply to the scholarship once yearly while they are in college.
Renewals take place in the Fall of every year.

To be considered for the $1,000 Westlands Water District High School Scholarship please submit all
of the following documents:
• A completed form (found on our website).
• An essay written by the applicant that is between 350-550 words on one of the three
topics listed below:
• Explain how agriculture has affected your life.
• Explain how Westlands Water District has affected you and your family.
• Explain the importance of agricultural water to California and the west side of
the San Joaquin Valley.
The essay should be typed, double spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font. All essays will be judged based on content and grammar.
• A copy of the applicant’s most recent high school transcripts. Unofficial transcripts are accepted.
• A copy of the applicant’s acceptance letter from the accredited post-secondary school which the applicant plans to attend. If the letter has yet to arrive it can be provided upon award notification, prior to a check being issued.

• Two reference letters, written by non-relatives. The letters must be signed and include the reference’s contact information.

Fresno Fiber Arts Guild Legacy Scholarship

The Fresno FiberArts Guild is pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student interested in fiber-related arts. Guild members recognize their responsibility to foster fiber arts appreciation and skill and offer the Legacy Scholarship and Guild membership in that endeavor. Guild participation and membership is a scholarship benefit. Application deadline: April 23, 2025 Qualifications and Information: 1. The 2025-26 Fresno FiberArts Guild Legacy Scholarship is extended to college-level students with a demonstrated interest in the fiber arts. Eligible applicants include high school graduates, college undergraduates and graduate students. 2. Eligible applicants must: a. Enroll no later than Fall 2025 at an accredited college or university in a fiber-related course of study. Verification of enrollment will be required for the terms of the scholarship. b. Focus on fiber as an art medium. Fiber arts is a broad field and includes a range of majors regarding accessories, marketing, textiles, fabric styling, fashion design, jewelry design, production management, visual presentation and exhibition design and more. c. Identify the role and relationship with the applicant’s mentor (one-on-one teaching) played in nurturing the applicant’s fiber art interests. d. Explain how the scholarship will be used and help meet the recipient’s goals. 3. Two (2) letters of recommendation must accompany each completed application submitted to the Scholarship Committee. One letter must be from a mentor (or representative) who has supported/taught the applicant some form of fiber art. 4. Complete and submit detailed answers to each part of the Scholarship Guidelines as incomplete applications will not be considered. 5. All applications and additional materials/portfolio must be received by April 23, 2025 to receive consideration for the scholarship. The winner will be announced to the membership through our May 2025 newsletter. 6. The winner will be introduced to the membership at the Fresno FiberArts General Meeting scheduled for September 20, 2025. 7. In addition, the scholarship winner will receive a one year membership in the Fresno FiberArts Guild. Membership will allow the recipient to attend monthly general meetings and lectures of featured guest artist speakers.The scholarship applicants will be notified no later than May 10, 2025. This scholarship is for students with a 2.5 GPS or higher. 
Applicants must be a graduating senior from a high
school in Kings or Fresno County, or a Central Union Grange member or
child/grandchild/ward of a Central Union Grange member. This is for students attending
an accredited college, university, or trade school.

You will need to include two (2) letters of recommendation, which cannot be from a relative; a typed 1-page biography and a typed 1-page essay about your future plans; a copy of your current High School or college Transcript.
