Mrs. O'Brien has worked in the educational field for over 25 years. She has been employed with HJUHSD since 1999. Mrs. O'Brien has held several positions during this time working at HHS, HW, HAS, and finally, SPHS. She claims that her favorite position has been working in the Career Center at SPHS! She says, "I have found the students and staff here to be exceptional and I feel very privileged to be able to work with them." She goes on to say that helping students navigate through high school, especially their senior year, is very rewarding. Celebrating their accomplishments as they are accepted into their desired college or university, helping them complete their financial aid and scholarship applications and seeing them be awarded free money, are all major highlights! It is her firm belief that every student can be successful with support and guidance, "they just have to have the 'want to!'" As the Career Education Coordinator, she understands the challenges of transitioning from high school to beyond. She is committed to providing Sierra Pacific students with the tools that they need to help them succeed!
