Mrs. O’Brien has dedicated over 25 years to the field of education and has been a valued member of HJUHSD since 1999. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of roles across the district, including at Hanford High School, Hanford West, Hanford Adult School, and most recently, Sierra Pacific High School.

She proudly shares that her favorite role has been working in the Career Center at Sierra Pacific High School, where she has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ futures.

“I have found the students and staff here to be exceptional, and I feel very privileged to be able to work with them,” she says.

Mrs. O’Brien finds great fulfillment in guiding students through their high school journey, especially during their senior year. She enjoys celebrating their achievements, from college and university acceptances to assisting with financial aid and scholarship applications, and helping students earn valuable “free money” for their education.

She strongly believes that every student can be successful with the right support and guidance, “they just have to have the ‘want to!’”

As the Career Education Coordinator, Mrs. O’Brien understands the challenges students face when transitioning from high school to postsecondary pathways. She is deeply committed to providing Sierra Pacific students with the tools, resources, and encouragement they need to succeed beyond high school.
